The challenge
The Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) aims to lead the way in advocating effective internal communication and enabling the highest standards of its practice. There was a need to design a comprehensive and insightful survey that examined the state of careers and pathways in the IC profession.
The solution
Research took the form of an online survey with both members and non-members of the IoIC invited to take part via email invitation. The survey was also publicised on social media and via IoIC website. Over 300 professionals completed the questionnaire proving new data and insights into the current and future opportunities for the internal communication community.
The results
The survey generated data that informed the profession by identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth and development. This enabled a comprehensive report circulated to Institute’s membership and wider community, and enabled further conversations around the future for the profession.
